Until 2003, OutRight was part of HSBC, operating as HSBC Select (UK) Ltd. In April 2003, the company was bought out by its management.
In September 2005, OutRight was acquired by Fortis (UK) Limited of which Fortis Insurance Limited is part of.

As part of the Fortis group, OutRight operates as a separate regulated entity, trading as The OutRight Company UK Limited.
OutRight now has a turnover in excess of £16.1million and operating profit of £2.4 million. We operate a UK-based customer contact centre with over 230 trained advisers (and capacity for 450). The business is very stable and comitted to continuous growth, having a broad spread of clients and contractual agreements covering 3 and 5 year terms.
Our objective is to help our clients realise the full value of their customer bases. We do this by providing multi-channel transaction, support and contact management services for personal lines insurance business.
